Mission:  Building healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Better Together aims to create a healthier Lebanon County by bringing together the many local organizations working indepedently to address barriers to good health. Working together, these groups are pooling resources, focusing on prority areas and improving community wellnes and the quality of life for Lebanon County residents. Our areas of focus are Physically Active Communities, Healthy Food Access, Family & Community Engagement and Behavioral Health.

The not-for-profit community supplier of blood for Penn State M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Good Samaritan Health System, The Lebanon VA Medical Center and 11 other South Central Pennsylvania hospitals.

The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank distributes more than 40 million pounds of food and grocery products, equivalent to nearly 33 million meals, every year to more than 800 soup kitchens, shelters, and food pantries in 27 central Pennsylvania counties. These agencies directly feed thousands of hungry families throughout central Pennsylvania.

Vision Statement: To make the Community of Lebanon a better place to live, work, shop, learn, and do business.

We promote "green" commuting modes and help commuters and employers with information and free assistance with transportation options for the work commute.  Our free Ridematch program provides carpool matching for the work commute.

Compass Mark’s mission is to prevent addiction through education, skill-building and community mobilization.  As a non-profit organization serving Lebanon County, Compass Mark offers:

  • Addiction Resource Center:  We offer confidential, one-on-one assistance to help individuals navigate treatment options, and provide a wide range of educational resources about alcohol, drugs, tobacco, other drugs and gambling.
  • School-Based Prevention Services:  Our programs utilize proven skill-building strategies to reach children and youth early in their development and help them learn healthy ways to avoid addiction.
  • Community-Based Prevention Services:  We provide programs designed to strengthen resiliency for at-risk individuals and improve the overall health and well-being of the community.
  • Training and Technical Assistance:  Our specialized training and consultation services are available for education professionals, law enforcement, social service providers, businesses, and other community members.
