The Lebanon County COAD is developing a "Go To List" by gathering names of volunteers and their contact information before a disaster strikes again. It's important to have this contact information on file. A COAD is required to support the Department of Emergency Services in each county. A COAD works closely with churches and other local and national partners to care for our neighbors. Some examples include Lend-a-Hand cleaning out flooded basements and treating mold; Mennonite Disaster Relief cutting up fallen trees and removing tree stumps; the American Red Cross calling to check on those impacted by a disaster, finding them shelter if needed.... These organizations, and/or others, are or can be on the local Board. It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when the next disaster will hit. Please review letter and flyer for more information.
