Barley Snyder Partner Michelle Calvert Elected to Lebanon Valley Chamber Foundation Board of Directors
Lebanon, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce Lebanon Valley Chamber
Foundation has elected partner Michelle R. Calvert
to serve on its board of directors.
The Lebanon Valley Chamber Foundation focuses on the enrichment of the Lebanon community by generating, receiving and allocating funds towards programs and initiatives that focus on the betterment of education, community and workforce development. Calvert has previously been involved with the Chamber’s Women in Business committee, which helps to administer Foundation funding for higher education scholarships provided through the Chamber.
“I am pleased to have been selected to the board of the Lebanon Valley Chamber Foundation,” said Calvert. “I look forward to making a meaningful difference and furthering the mission of this important charitable foundation dedicated to helping our community.”
Calvert is a partner in the firm’s Business
and Real
Estate practice groups with more than three decades of
experience in the areas of business, finance, mergers
and acquisitions, and real estate law. She advises clients
on all aspects of their businesses, ranging from entity selection and formation
to succession planning. In her real estate practice, Calvert guides her clients
through the purchase and sale process. She is also well-versed in helping
restaurant owners obtain retail liquor
licenses. Furthermore, Calvert has substantial experience
working with banks, credit unions, economic development agencies and private
lenders to document commercial loan transactions, as well as in providing
guidance in lender contracting, corporate compliance and other general business
matters.
Aside from her new role with the Foundation, Calvert
serves on the board of trustees of Cornwall Manor, a renowned senior living
community in Lebanon County. She serves as legal counsel and as a member of the
Loan Committee for the Lebanon Valley Economic Development Authority. In
addition, she represents the Emergency Health Services Foundation, a non-profit
regional EMS council that serves eight counties in South Central Pennsylvania.
Calvert previously served as general counsel for Good Samaritan Hospital and as
a board member of the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation.
