Jonestown, PA – March 24, 2023: Jonestown
Bank & Trust Co. (JBT) recently contributed $25,000 to Lebanon Family
Health Services to aid their efforts to meet the need for vital health programs
and services to those in need throughout the Lebanon Valley.
“JBT’s contribution will ensure services continue to exist in the future to serve our community,” said Kimberly Kreider Umble, President and CEO of Lebanon Family Health Services (LFHS). “One of the biggest priorities of our organization is to provide a caring environment for ALL individuals in the community and to show respect to everyone that we serve. Every person deserves the same access to quality care, and we are thankful that we can provide this for the Lebanon Community and JBT has shown they understand and appreciate our mission.”
“We respect and believe that LFHS effectively provides much needed healthcare services to our community and that without LFHS many of the needs of our community would go unmet,” said Troy A. Peters, President and CEO of JBT. “They provide help to low income and often uninsured or underinsured individuals including addressing the nutritional needs of children.”
This year feature milestone anniversaries for both Lebanon Family Health
Services and JBT, both of which are dedicated to building stronger
communities.
Lebanon Family Health Services is celebrating their 50th anniversary and during the past 50 years the organization has expanded services and programs to serve some of the most vulnerable populations in the community. Today, LFHS provides over 40,000 visits annually. One of newest undertakings provides the ability to meet people where they are thanks to a new mobile unit, which was launched in January of this year, taking services out into the community – to grocery stores, health care centers, businesses, day care centers and other locations.
2023 also marks the 150th anniversary for JBT, making the
financial institution one the longest standing independent businesses in the
Lebanon Valley. That history is one of
the reasons JBT is committed to giving back to the community and to
organizations like LFHS.
“JBT has grown over the past 150 years because we serve a vibrant community that has supported us and we believe in giving back,” said Peters. “Supporting organizations like Lebanon Family Health Services is in our DNA. We believe that as a community bank, we are only as strong as the communities we serve, and we are proud to be in a position of being able to give back to our communities. It’s important to us not only from a business perspective, but because we live and work here too. Organizations that we support provide services to our friends, families, and neighbors.”
