SARCC
to hold 18th annual Monte Carlo Event with a New Orleans Theme
On
March 25, 2022 SARCC will hold its 18th Annual Monte Carlo Event at the Lebanon Country Club.
The event was originally founded to close gaps and services for survivors of
sexual violence in Lebanon County, and has continued to serve this purpose.
This year's theme for the event will be "A Night in New Orleans." All
proceeds from the event support SARCC's mission to prevent sexual violence and
promote healing in Lebanon County.
SARCC
is a nonprofit organization that provides 24-hour hotline support, advocacy,
accompaniment, crisis counseling, groups, and trauma therapy for child and
adult survivors of sexual violence in our community. All services are available
at no-cost to the survivors or their family members. The annual event also
supports child sexual abuse prevention and community education efforts.
Sponsored
by Just Like Family Home Health, WellSpan, and T-Mobile, along with many others, the
event promises live jazz music by Luther Tyree, celebrity performers
offering cameos throughout the night, Live and silent auctions, and the
signature activity of the event are casino style table games played with
"funny money." One of the main draws of the event each year is
learning who the celebrity dealers are. Local Lebanon County officials,
business owners, and social service champions top the bill.
Tickets
for the event are $100 and include $100 in “funny money” to play the table
games, themed hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment, and the opportunity to bid in
the auctions. Community members interested in volunteering, purchasing tickets,
or donating are invited to visit sarccheals.org. Anyone interested in
learning more about services and support available locally can contact the
SARCC hotline at 717-272-5308.
