CASA of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties invites you to attend one
of our upcoming Community Awareness Breakfasts to learn how to participate in
the critical advocacy work CASA provides for children who have experienced
abuse and neglect and are placed in the foster care system. The Lancaster event
will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 8:00-9:00 AM at the Cork Factory
Hotel. The Lebanon event will be held on Thursday, May 15, from 8:00-9:00
AM at Iron Valley Gold Club. Both events are free and open to the public, but
due to limited seating, preregistration is required.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. Our mission is
to provide a qualified and compassionate court-appointed volunteer advocate to
every child who is abused and neglected, to ensure the fundamental human right
of having a safe, nurturing, and permanent home is met.
In 2024, 216 children were served by our volunteer advocates. Of
those children, 69 were new to CASA, and 48 are now in their safe and permanent
homes. 5,843 advocacy hours were provided by 125 dedicated CASAs. We need your
help to fulfill our vision that every child who is abused and neglected will
have a safe, permanent home and the support to become a healthy, empowered
adult, thereby breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect.
The Community Awareness Breakfasts are open to anyone who wants to
learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer, donor, or friend. Hear from CASA
staff and supporters about the crucial and life-changing impact CASA volunteers
have on the lives of our community's most vulnerable children. Guests will be
given the opportunity to make a contribution.
