Jonestown, PA – April 17, 2024: Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. (JBT) recently donated $5,000 to Palmyra Public Library for the library’s Little Explorers Early Learning Classes designed for kindergarten children.
The program falls under the PA Educational Improvement Tax
Credit Program and enables kindergarten-age children to participate in a time
that combines stories, games, crafts, and STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Math) activities.
“We’ve seen how this program produces positive results and inspires and fosters a curiosity in the world that will help these young minds develop in exciting ways,” said Chelsea Weibley, Palmyra Public Library Executive Director. “We’re delighted to have JBT join us and are so thankful for their generosity.”
“The local library remains a vital resource for people of all ages, and that is obvious when you see what Palmyra Public Library brings to the community,” said Troy A. Peters, JBT President & CEO. “We’re especially pleased to be able to support the Little Explorers Early Learning Classes that help create a love of learning and reading at an early age.”
