PA CareerLink® is partnering with employers across SCPa to expand talent pipelines to meet their workforce demands. With low unemployment and declining labor force participation over the past five years, opening job opportunities for candidates with past justice involvement can help employers in our region continue to grow while making a positive impact in the community. There is a strong base of evidence demonstrating the value of recruiting and hiring candidates with past convictions. Research has shown that employees with past convictions stay longer and advance faster than their peers.
Resources include Fair Chance Hiring Toolkit and County Profile. The Lebanon County PA CareerLink® business service team can consult with employers interested in learning more about the toolkit and implementing the Fair Chance Hiring practices.
