LEBANON COUNTY, PA: United Way of Lebanon County is hosting
annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive now through July 29.
Not being able to afford basic school supplies is a barrier for many children and youth in Lebanon County communities. The goal for the United Way’s Stuff the Bus annual school supply drive is to ensure that every child who needs them in every school district in the county has a new backpack and basic supplies to start the new school year.
How our community can help:
Purchase school supplies while out shopping and
drop them off on Saturday, July 29, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the YMCA
Train Depot, 250 North Eighth Street in Lebanon.
Host a supply collection at your workplace,
church or through your civic group, and drop them off on Saturday, July 29,
between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the YMCA Train Depot, 250 North Eighth Street
in Lebanon. Pick-up of collected items
can also be arranged by contacting the United Way office at 717-273-8144 on or
before Wednesday, July 26.
School supplies needed: #2 pencils,
pencil erasers, pencil boxes/pouches, pens, notebooks, tablets, 24-pack
crayons, child scissors, glue sticks, earbuds, backpacks.
Students from all districts in the county will pick up donated
supplies at the Back-to-School Festival on August 5 from 9:00 AM to Noon at the
YMCA Train Depot in Lebanon. No student preregistration is needed for them to
receive donated supplies.
Stuff the Bus is a collaborative effort between United Way off
Lebanon County, Making a Difference of Lebanon, Lebanon Valley Family YMCA and
local businesses and community organizations.
