HARRISBURG, PA (June 9, 2023) – The Central
Penn Business Journal has announced its 2023 Women of Influence honorees
and recognizes Wendy Marshall, Vice President of Retail Operations for Belco
Community Credit Union.
A member of the Senior Leadership Team, Marshall oversees Belco’s 15-branch network in a seven-county physical footprint. With 83 direct and indirect reports, she also leads the Branch Operations team, which supports the branches.
“Wendy’s passion for better banking and leading Belco’s Retail Operations with confidence is only second to the investments she makes in her team and keeping our members’ interests top of mind,” says Amey Sgrignoli, President & CEO of Belco Community Credit Union. “With a positive outlook and a drive to succeed, Wendy works tirelessly to position both our members and our teams to thrive. She is truly a Belco influencer!”
Serving
in a newly created role, Marshall has been a member of the Belco team since
December 2021. She quickly distinguished herself as a leader who women in
business want to connect with and follow. A Harrisburg Rotarian involved in the
New Member Initiative, she is active with Lancaster YWCA and the Race Against
Racism. She is a recent Leadership Harrisburg Executive Leadership Series graduate.
A gifted athlete, Marshall enjoys golf and endurance sports, including running, cycling, and swimming. She participates in triathlons, half marathons, and 5ks. “The discipline of training callouses the mind and has shaped my body, mind, and soul. It’s made me a better mother and a stronger leader,” says Marshall.
What is a woman of influence? “A woman of influence leads with integrity and emotional intelligence, is compassionate, takes initiative, strives to inspire, and lifts people up in her circles and beyond. She is a genuine and intentional difference-maker living her best life. She is humble, yet confident in her strengths and aware of the impact she makes on others,” says Marshall. “Most of all, a woman of influence leads with an open mind and open heart. My first and greatest role is being Mom to my daughter.”
The Women of Influence Awards honor high-achieving
women for their career accomplishments and impact in their community. These
women are selected based on their professional experience, community involvement,
and commitment to mentoring. Chosen from hundreds of executive women in the
mid-state, the honorees were selected by the publisher and editors of the Central
Penn Business Journal.
“The 2023 Women of Influence inspire those around them to be their best through their actions, their words, and their deeds. They mentor and grow other strong women,” says Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of the Central Penn
Business Journal/Bridge Tower Media. “We at the Central Penn Business
Journal congratulate all the honorees.”
Honorees will be recognized on June 27 at the
Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey from 5:30-8:15 p.m.
