Lancaster General Hosts Open House for New Eatery

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health leaders will showcase Lancaster General Hospital’s new Central Table Eatery, a communal hub for patients, visitors and health system employees to enjoy a broad selection of healthy and locally sourced foods. During the afternoon ceremony, remarks will be made by chief executive officers for both Penn Medicine and Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, as well as the Chairperson of LG Health’s Board of Trustees.
One of the first phases of the hospital’s Trauma & Emergency Department expansion project to be completed, Central Table Eatery will feature stations offering handcrafted food and a modern, comforting environment. The hospital’s Food Service Department prepares up to 3,500 meals a day for patients, visitors and health-system staff. Opening remarks will be followed by light refreshments from the menu offerings and a demonstration of a new electronic kiosk ordering system.
