April
25, 2022, Lancaster, PA – Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Urgent
Care at the Downtown Pavilion will move from its current shared space with
Family Medicine Downtown, third floor of the Downtown Pavilion at 540 N. Duke
St., to the first floor of the Downtown Pavilion. The new location,
opening at 1 p.m. April 25, will provide greater accessibility and continue to
offer X-ray and lab services during hours of operation.
The Urgent Care at the Downtown Pavilion will now have six
exam rooms and will be open daily 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, and 8 a.m. to 8
p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
The Urgent Care will be staffed by physicians and advanced
practice providers on the medical staff at LG Health. Open seven days a week,
Urgent Care is ideal when medical attention is needed for sprains, cuts, burns,
infections or flu symptoms and when patients cannot get in to see their
primary-care provider, such as after hours or on holidays. No appointments are
necessary. Patients may walk in or check wait times and reserve a spot online from the comfort of home.
Patients will then receive a text message when it’s time to arrive.
“Extended hours are available to provide care when your
primary-care provider isn’t available, especially nights and weekends, when
minor illnesses and injuries often occur,” said Amanda Harrison, LG Health
Urgent Care Interim Director of Operations. “Enhanced hours of operation at
this location provide a convenient option for patients who don’t require
emergency care.”
LG Health has additional Urgent Care locations at
Rohrerstown Road, Elizabethtown, Ephrata, Lebanon, Lititz, and Parkesburg. For
