Penn
Medicine Lancaster General Health announces
new member to its Board of Trustees
January
27, 2022, Lancaster, PA –
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health welcomed Kenneth R. Arthur, M.D., to
the Lancaster General Health Board of Trustees. Consisting of volunteer
community and business leaders from throughout Lancaster County and surrounding
communities, the Board sets policy governing the operation of LG Health and
oversees the work of six Board committees.
Dr. Arthur, who was appointed
to a three-year term, is a board-certified plastic surgeon with Penn Medicine
Lancaster General Health Physicians. He also serves as President of the
Lancaster General Hospital Medical & Dental Staff, and is a founding member
and president of the board of Operation Medical, a nonprofit organization that
provides free surgical care in developing countries.
“We
are pleased to welcome Dr. Arthur to the LG Health Board of Trustees,” said
John J. Herman, CEO of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. “This group of
talented leaders holds a true passion for improving the health and well-being
of our community, and their diverse expertise ensures that LG Health services
are safe, effective, and continue to reflect the values and traditions of the
communities we serve.”
Dr. Arthur replaced William
Adams, M.D., of Lancaster Emergency Associates, who left the Board after
completing a three-year term of service. During its December Board meeting, the
Trustees and LG Health recognized him for his contributions to the health
system and the community.
