Jonestown, PA – October 19, 2021: Jonestown
Bank & Trust Co. (JBT) recently announced that Robert B. Weidler, Jr. has joined JBT as Chief Financial Officer.
Weidler takes over the Chief Financial Officer role from William Roth,
who is retiring from JBT in November after 18 years.
“It has been a profound pleasure working with
Bill,” said Troy A. Peters, President and CEO of JBT. “I am grateful for
his leadership, expertise and support over the years and he has been an
integral part of JBT’s growth and success.”
Weidler graduated
from Palmyra High School and Shippensburg University. Prior to joining JBT,
Weidler was with Riverview Bank for 25 years, most recently as Senior Vice
President and Controller.
“Our search for a new CFO was extensive and extended well beyond
Pennsylvania,” said Peters. “In
the end, we were fortunate to find someone with Bob’s experience,
qualifications and passion for community banking so close to home. He’s an
excellent fit with JBT and our management team.”
Weidler is looking
forward to helping support JBT’s focus on community and growth.
“What attracted me to JBT was the opportunity to be part of
a local community bank that has embraced technological change while maintaining
their strong commitment to playing a part in the continued growth of the
communities JBT serves,” said Weidler. “I’m really excited about the direction
the bank is heading.”
A resident of Elizabethtown, PA, Weider is a member of
Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church.
JBT serves customers in Lebanon County, Lancaster County, and
Berks County. Founded in 1873, JBT currently has assets of over $800 million
