Hershey Palmyra Sertoma Club supports Community Homes of
Lebanon County capital campaign.
Hershey-Palmyra Sertoma Club Chapter President Ashley Nahodil confirms the organization’s commitment to the Community Homes Canal Street Affordable Housing project by presenting a check for $15,000 to Fundraising Chair Troy Peters, President/CEO of Jonestown Bank & Trust Co., and Community Homes CEO Charlie Rush at a recent Club meeting.
“This is a wonderful project, which will provide additional housing for the Lebanon County seniors, ambulatory disabled, and others in need of help.” Says Nahodil. “We challenge other Lebanon County service clubs to add their support to this important campaign. These special people deserve affordable, safe housing.”
The Canal Street Affordable Housing Project, when completed, will add 23 housing units to the 289 units that already exist for Community Homes residents. The organization has been serving Lebanon county for over 50 years. “There is a waiting list of over 5 years for a Community Homes residence. It is critical that we close this gap,” says Charlie Rush.
This contribution is one of many for Hersey-Palmyra
Sertoma Club, which was chartered in 1976. This relatively small service club
supported 29 different local charities/benefactors in the fiscal year ended 6/30/21thru
fundraising activities that raised $ 65,575.00.
