JBT Makes Change Count for Lebanon Rescue Mission
Lebanon, PA
11/21/2019 03:06 PM
Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. (JBT) recently presented a donation of $1,137 to the Lebanon Rescue Mission (LRM). Founded in 1945, LRM is a Christian-based non-profit organization dedicated to serving the humanitarian needs of individuals living in the Lebanon Valley. Today, the organization has expanded to operate LRM’s Men’s Shelter, the Agape Family Shelter, and the Lebanon Free Clinic - each designed to serve specific community needs.

In addition to the funds donated, the bank also purchased 5 turkeys from the Myerstown Lions Club Turkey Drive and donated them to LRM.

Donated funds were collected July 1 through September 30, 2019, as part of JBT’s “Make Change Count for Your Community” program. In 2006, JBT introduced its coin counting machine service, encouraging everyone to convert saved coins into dollars. The bank collects a small service fee from all non-JBT clients and then donates 100% of this fee to a designated local charity. JBT clients may use the service for free, but they have the option to donate funds if desired.

Since starting the program, JBT has collected and donated tens of thousands of dollars. Local non-profit organizations that wish to be considered as future recipients may contact Jennifer Crain, JBT Marketing Officer, at 717-450-1222.

JBT serves customers in and around Lebanon, Lancaster, and Berks Counties. Founded in 1873, JBT currently has assets of $625 million and 14 banking locations. The bank’s 15th location is planned to open in Robesonia in the spring of 2020. For more information about JBT, please visit www.jbt.bank. Member FDIC.
