The Lancaster
General Health Foundation names 2017 Societas Generalis inductees
LANCASTER, Pa. –
The Lancaster General Health Foundation (LGHF) honored its 2017 Societas
Generalis inductees during the annual Recognition Dinner on Oct. 5.
Established in 2017, Societas Generalis honors trustees,
physicians, philanthropists and community leaders who have made extraordinary
contributions of service and commitment to the health and well-being of the
Lancaster community. Over 100 members have been inducted to date.
New
members were inducted in four areas of distinction: Excellence in Medicine,
Excellence in Board Service, Excellence in Community Service & Volunteerism
and Excellence in Philanthropy.
The
2017 inductees include:
- Excellence in Medicine: Dr. J.
Kenneth Brubaker, Dr. D. Holmes Morton, Dr. Seth Worley
- Excellence
in Board Service: C. Clair McCormick
- Excellence in Community Service
& Volunteerism: Esther Shaubach
- Excellence
in Philanthropy: Megan and Todd Brown
About
the Lancaster General Health Foundation
The
LGHF is organized under a Board of Trustees that provides oversight to ensure
funds raised by the Foundation benefit the Lancaster General Health System and
the patients it serves. The LGHF mission is to build philanthropic
relationships within the community to advance the mission of Lancaster General
Health. The LGHF acts as the centralized collection point for all contributions
and funding requests for Lancaster General Health, the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer
Institute, the Lancaster Heart & Vascular Institute, the Pennsylvania
College of Health Sciences, Women & Babies Hospital and other LG
Health-affiliates.
