Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. (JBT) earned the 177th spot
in the 2017 list of Top 200 Community
Banks and Thrifts, as ranked nationally by American Banker magazine. JBT ranked 20th among 23 Pennsylvania-based banks listed,
and is the only community bank based in Lebanon, Lancaster, Berks and Schuylkill
Counties appearing on the list. A total of 669 community banks and thrifts nationwide
were qualified to be evaluated by three-year average Return On Average Equity
(ROAE) through 12/31/2016, and rankings were based on an analysis of data compiled by SNL Financial. JBT had an average of 9.1% to earn
its place on the list for the 9th consecutive year. The median for all
669 institutions was 7.35%.
