Harrisburg, PA
11/21/2016 12:10 PM

Harrisburg, PA - Belco Community Credit Union performed Random Acts of Kindness throughout the seven counties it serves as part of its first ever Random Acts of Kindness Day. Nearly 200 Starbucks gift cards were handed out at random to shoppers in the Mechanicsburg, Lower Paxton, Lancaster, and Hanover regions as a thank you to the community for their continued support of credit unions like Belco. This effort helps to fulfill Belco’s Mission of being “…A locally based not-for-profit credit union dedicated to meeting the needs of the communities we serve through exceptional service and financial education.” Throughout the day, Belco employees visited shopping centers in each region the credit union serves and made the day a little better for shoppers. Belco employees also posted photos and live video of the event on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #RandomActsofKindness to spread the message. Connect with Belco today on social media to learn more about the event. “We are happy to spread some smiles throughout the community with our Random Acts of Kindness efforts,” said Amey Sgrignoli, President/CEO. “As we wrap up Member Appreciation Month at Belco, we thought it would be a fun way to thank those in the community for their support while also spreading the word about Belco and the credit union movement to those who may not yet be familiar with our unique approach to providing financial services.”
