A.S.K. Foods, Inc. (the “Company”), a manufacturer of naturally creative prepared foods, announced today that it is closing its Today’s ChefTM retail store, located at 20 North Chestnut Street, Palmyra, PA, on August 29, 2015, so that the building can be utilized for additional corporate offices. All employees currently working at the retail store have been offered employment in the Company’s manufacturing operations.
     “The Company has experienced significant growth in its core manufacturing business over the past several years, to a point where we are literally bursting at the seams,” said Wendie DiMatteo Holsinger, the company’s CEO. “While it has been a privilege to serve our loyal home town customers in Palmyra and the greater Central Pennsylvania region with a retail store offering a selection of the many products we produce, we have reached a point where we must expand our office capacity in support of our growing manufacturing business. After much deliberation, we determined that converting the store building to offices was our best alternative.”
     The Company has operated the Today’s ChefTM retail store at its current location since 1999. Previously, the Company had operated a small retail outlet, called The Basket Deli, in a dedicated area adjacent to its original manufacturing facility on North Locust Street in Palmyra. By moving to its current location, the Company was able to expand its floor space and feature a greater variety of its product line in a more convenient location.
     “We want to thank the Palmyra community and all of our loyal customers who have supported the store over these many years,” DiMatteo Holsinger said. “As a special thank you, we are planning several customer appreciation events at the store between now and August 29th to help customers enjoy our delicious food offerings at special close-out prices. While our retail store is closing, our products will continue to be offered in grocery stores and food retailers throughout the entire eastern seaboard.”
