Community Homes of Lebanon Valley had the vision 50 years ago to identify a vital need for affordable housing for our Lebanon area senior citizens.
Today the dream has become a reality. There are six “Terrace” residence buildings for seniors, five in Lebanon (Willow Terrace, Oak Terrace, Hill Terrace, Maple Terrace, and Poplar Terrace) and one in Myerstown (Tulpehocken Terrace).
The accomplishment will be celebrated on September 20th with a special 50th Anniversary Dinner at the Salem Lutheran Church, Lebanon, for the many people who turned the idea into reality, plus those who are instrumental in the day-to-day operation of the six properties.
Many state, county, and local dignitaries will join the celebration. There will also be two special video presentations, keynote talk by Board member Dianne Stott, Professional Geriatric Care Manager. Community Homes Chief Operating Officer Charlie Rush will emcee. A blended choir from area churches will also perform.
