IU 13 Volunteer Lenny Walton
Lenny Walton, a retired engineer after working for 30 years at Armstrong World Industries, wanted to give back to his community. For several years now, Lenny has been volunteering as a math tutor for individuals in Margaret Giordano’s classes at Lancaster CareerLink. When he has the time, he also generously tutors some students in the other IU13 CareerLink classes. Lenny enjoys working with the learners and says he gets much more from the students that he tutors than what he gives to them.
Lenny was recently recognized by WGAL and spotlighted on Channel 8 for his work as chair of the Lancaster County Coalition to End Homelessness. The WGAL television clip also presented Lenny tutoring two IU13 students, Erika Santiago and Andrew Stoltzfus, in the classroom at Lancaster CareerLink.
