Harding Elementary is seeking individuals to come in and speak to the students for a Career Day Speaker Series during Career Week. We are looking at either February 21st or 28th from 9-11 a.m. (optional lunch session from 11-1:30). Career Day Speaker Series helps to inspire the youth of our community by sharing your career journey, a typical workday, education requirements and more.This is an opportunity for students to speak with someone whose career choice interests them and to explore areas they may not have considered before. We will have a presenter in each of our classrooms.
Each year they are able to learn about a new career cluster/pathway they could potentially go into. We are trying to teach them about the different career clusters/pathways based on their own interests and personalities. The presentations will last about 20 minutes and 5 minutes for questions. The classes in each grade will rotate to each presenter every 30 minutes. Our students love to hear how people got to where they are today. Lunch will be provided.
