OAL Welcomes Thomas Sherman, M.D.
One Step Ahead Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster Welcomes Thomas I. Sherman, M.D. The physicians at Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster (OAL) are expanding their practice to give patients across Central Pennsylvania quicker access to quality and specialized orthopedic care. OAL is pleased to announce that foot and ankle specialist, Thomas I. Sherman, will be joining the practice starting today, Monday August 7, 2017. Dr. Sherman will have office hours at OAL‘s Lancaster and Lebanon locations.
Dr. Sherman is a native of central Pennsylvania. His interest in orthopedic surgery and foot and ankle surgery stems from his lifelong passion for athletics, particularly soccer, which lead him to Division 1 collegiate play at Bucknell University. He is a graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC. Following this, he completed additional training in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery at the world-renowned and highly selective Union Memorial Hospital foot and ankle surgery fellowship. Dr. Sherman's clinical interests include treatment of all foot and ankle conditions, including athletic injuries, such as ankle instability (recurrent sprains), ankle arthritis with cutting-edge techniques including ankle replacement and cartilage grafting, as well as complex foot and ankle reconstructive and revision surgery procedures.
