Londonderry Village President/CEO, Jeff Shireman, has announced his upcoming retirement, effective January 10, 2025. Jeff came to Londonderry Village in 2004 as its President and CEO. Jeff has worked in the field of senior living management since 1982, and led six nonprofit, church-affiliated Life Plan Communities over the course of a 42-year career. His professional activities have included volunteer service on the Boards of Directors of LeadingAge PA, the Anabaptist Provider Group, the Fellowship of Brethren Homes, and the Delaware Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging. For many years he also volunteered to lead accreditation surveys, nationwide, on behalf of the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission. While at Londonderry Village, Jeff presided over numerous new construction and renovation projects, and was responsible for the establishment of six Green Houses, making Londonderry Village the only Green House Community in the state of Pennsylvania.
Steve Tilley, Chair of Londonderry Village’s Board of Directors shared in an announcement to residents and staff that “Jeff has been an exceptional servant leader for over 20 years at our campus and the residents, employees and Board have been truly blessed to have him at the helm. Jeff introduced us to the Green House concept and built a resident-centered culture offering excellent care and services at a great value. In addition, Jeff is leaving us with an organization that is growing and one that is financially sound. We want to express our deepfelt gratitude to Jeff for his numerous contributions to Londonderry Village, and we wish he and his wife, Kristi, all the best as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.”
“The Board of Directors has been anticipating this day for several years. We have an established succession planning process that has us well prepared to effect an orderly transition of leadership. We have a Search Committee in place and are engaging an Executive Search Firm to assist us with the process of sourcing qualified candidates and ultimately identifying the next President and CEO for Londonderry Village. We expect to announce a replacement for Jeff in the Fall.”
