The Lebanon Valley Sertoma Club is proud to announce it is a recipient of a 2022 Sertoma Club Grant, marking the club’s continued commitment to volunteer service, charitable support and community leadership in the Lebanon County area. Funds from the grant will go to benefit the Cub Scout program here in Lebanon County, where the Lebanon Valley Sertoma club is the Charter Representative for many scouting units at different schools throughout the Lebanon County area.
On Thursday, January 19, 2023, we met with the area District Executive, Nichole Welch from our local Scout office and presented her with our check for $2,000 to support her Friends of Scouting program to get more Cub Scouts involved in the camping program where they learn outdoor skills, teamwork, leadership and character building exercises. Lebanon Valley Sertoma is the Charter Representative for numerous Cub Scout packs in the Lebanon area.
The Lebanon Valley Sertoma club is part of the national Sertoma, Inc. family of local civic service clubs. A thriving nonprofit service organization that has been in existence for over a century, Sertoma is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support.
“Sertomans throughout the United States and Canada are dedicated to creating communities that serve the needs of many,” said Amy Ellington, Sertoma Interim Executive Director. “We created this grant program to help members like the Lebanon Valley Sertoma club support community charitable programs and organizations.”
