WellSpan
Health employees will conduct screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar,
cholesterol, hearing, vein problems, sun damage to skin, medications and
depression at the 21
st annual Lebanon County 50+ Festival, to be
held Wednesday, May 9, at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center, 80 Rocherty Road.
Health
screenings and information will be available from 10 a.m. to noon, and from 1
to 4 p.m. at the event, presented by the Community Health Council of Lebanon
County. WellSpan Health is a Platinum Sponsor for the event.
The
expo also features a full slate of presentations. Two WellSpan presentations
include one at 10:15 a.m. on “Lifestyle Changes Made Easy: Understanding Your
Cardiac Risk Factors and Tips for Reducing Them,” and one at noon on “Pain
Management: Options for Relief.”
Also,
expo visitors may talk to WellSpan experts at a number of booths including
these: WellSpan Interventional Pain Specialists, WellSpan Orthopedics, WellSpan
Heart & Vascular Services, WellSpan Medical Equipment, WellSpan Women &
Children Services, WellSpan Philhaven, WellSpan Sechler Family Cancer Center
and WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital Imaging Services. Women’s Health Center of
Lebanon also will have a booth at the expo.
Visitors
can take a free, online health assessment for breast, lung and skin cancers at
many of those WellSpan booths. A team also will schedule mammograms for those
who are interested.
