Lebanon County Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities

(Lebanon, PA) The Lebanon County Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities is calling for nominations to recognize employers in Lebanon County who show outstanding achievement in improving employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Businesses will be awarded in three categories, based on its size and capacity to hire persons with disabilities. Facilities outside of Lebanon County are eligible for the Employer of the Year Award; however, they must employ persons living in Lebanon County.

The committee will also be recognizing employees with disabilities in Lebanon County for their achievement in the work force.  The criteria for Employee of the Year are: Individual must have a disability, reside in Lebanon County and be employed for a period of at least six (6) months.

           The Lebanon County Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities is proud to recognize the efforts of those who make the challenge of working with a disability much easier by creating inclusive work environments.  Every success achieved by someone with a disability encourages others to overcome and succeed, promoting the values of commitment, hard work, and the desire to excel.  To submit a nomination downloaded the form from; click on the activities calendar button.

            A Recognition Banquet on October 23, 2014 to honor the Lebanon County Male and Female Employee of the year. The banquet will be held at the Golden Corral and is slated to begin at 11:30 a.m.  James Marker, Special Assistant to the Secretary of Public Welfare for Employment of People with Disabilities, will deliver an inspirational message to honorees and guests.
