Belco Community Credit Union’s Scholarship Committee awarded five scholarships of $1,000 each to student-members who excelled academically while giving back to their communities through extracurricular involvement and community service. The scholarship winners were chosen in March, and honored at Belco’s annual meeting held on April 18, 2015. There were 116 scholarship applications submitted.

Scholarship recipients for the 2014-2015 school year are Ashely Brown of Lancaster; Camille Hoover of York; Tiffany Lam of Lancaster; Zachary Yoder of Manheim; and Kelly Sangrey of Ronks. Scholarship recipients are selected based on financial need and scholarship merit, as well as their level of community and school involvement.

“Belco is proud of the academic scholarship and achievements of all our applicants, especially our scholarship recipients. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors,” said Amey Sgrignoli, President/CEO of Belco Community Credit Union.

Named after Belco’s founding father, a true visionary, the Elton “Miller” Peterman Scholarship Program has been a part of Belco Community Credit Union since the 1980s.
