Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health hosts
community blood drives every week throughout Lancaster County, as well as at
the Blood Donor Center at the Suburban Pavilion.
The LG Health Blood Donor Center encourages
people to donate at either a community blood drive or at the blood donor center
as often as possible. Blood that is collected stays in Lancaster County to
benefit members of our community.
Blood donors must be in good health (free of
flu, cold and nausea symptoms for at least three days), 16 years of age (with
parental consent) to 79 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, be well
hydrated, eat a substantial meal within four hours before donating, and bring a
form of ID.
Appointments
are encouraged while walk-ins are also accepted. To make an appointment at our
Blood Drive locations, please call 717-544-0170, or schedule online at lghblooddonors.org/donorportal/.
All individuals presenting to donate will
receive our new golf umbrella.
