The Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce is excited to share that President and CEO, Karen Groh, will attend the exclusive National Business Leaders in Action Summit this November with a focus on supporting and implementing child care solutions.
The Bipartisan Policy Center, Executives Partnering to Invest in Children (EPIC), and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation are hosting the exclusive conference in Denver, Colorado. Presenters include industry experts and innovators who are solving workforce retention and recruitment challenges plaguing the business sector.
“Access to affordable child care is a huge barrier in getting some of our workforce back on the job,” states Groh. “It is not only cost prohibitive at times, but child care centers are struggling to fill open positions creating long waitlists of children.”
The National Summit is presented by the David and Laura Merage Foundation and aims to educate, cultivate, and equip business and community leaders so they can activate and lead workforce solutions and implement childcare priorities in their communities. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies and tools to help support, lead, and implement child care strategies leading to greater economic success in their communities.
During the summit, Groh will have the opportunity to network with national leaders in the childcare sector, as well as other business and community leaders. Speakers from leading organizations such as ReadyNation, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Let’s Grow Kids and more will present and facilitate discussions.
