Small Business Roundtable

The Small Business Roundtable Presents:

How to Talk to Strangers

Who Should Attend:
•  Home-based and Small business owners who are members of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce.
•  Other area home-based business owners (Non-Chamber member home-based business owners are invited to attend one Roundtable meeting and are then welcomed to attend future meetings once they become a member of the Chamber).
•  Any other Chamber member small business owners interested in attending.
•  Attendance: Is limited to 30 people on a first-come basis.

Cost: Free to attend.

The Roundtables are informal in nature, Lunch is provided by ACME TOOLS and coffee, soda and water are provided by the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce

The Small Business Roundtable (SBR) is offering a monthly pre-meeting session on Goal Setting and Accountability. Participants will work on setting a goal (personal or business), defining it using the SMART system and reporting back with progress. We will work as a group to offer suggestions, guidance and encouragement.

Sessions begin at 11:30 and will end at 11:55 so participants can attend the noon Small Business Roundtable. There is no fee or obligation to attend.

The Lebanon Community Concert Band, conducted by Tim Erdman, will play a selection of patriotic music with special performances by Jessica Weidman, Lebanon Police Officer, Sgt. Steve Bord and the Singing Cedar Chorus.
Guest Speaker is Mal Fuller, who served as the watch supervisor at Pittsburgh International Airport during the 9/11 terrorist attack and serves on the board of Friends of Flight 93.

Keynote Speaker: Brigadier General Jerry Beck, Jr. (ret.)

Topic: Status of the Pennsylvania State Veterans Affairs

BG Beck is the former Commanding General of the 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania Army National Guard and serving currently as the Deputy Adjutant General-Veterans Affairs.

The Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit Roundtable’s Volunteer Recruitment Fair is a free event that helps prospective volunteers discover service opportunities that fit their specific skills and interests. The participating organizations represent a wide variety of institutions focusing on human services, the arts, animal welfare, healthcare services, and more.

Whether you are looking for a one-time volunteer opportunity or a longer commitment, the Lebanon Valley Volunteer Recruitment Fair is an opportunity to connect with local non-profit organizations and begin to make a difference. The Small Business Roundtable is a meeting of area businesses including home-based and small businesses, although all Chamber members are welcome to attend. Non-Chamber members are also welcome to attend one meeting as our guest before joining. The meeting is casual and attendees can bring their own lunch, though drinks and lunch are also provided.
