Dan began his career as a social worker at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center after graduating with his Master’s degree in Counseling from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, South Carolina, in 1998. He has been in the long-term care field since then. He obtained his Nursing Home Administrator’s license in 2001. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Susquehanna University. 

Most recently, Dan began his duties in December of 2015 as the Executive Director at Spang Crest, a Luthercare community here in Lebanon. Prior to this appointment, he served the last seven years as Nursing Home Administrator at Stonebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Duncannon, Pa. Previously, he spent six years with Manor Care Health Services, managing a 215-bed skilled nursing center in Sinking Spring, Berks County, and overseeing operations at Manor Care locations in Lancaster and West Reading. His experience has provided him with significant financial and regulatory expertise.

Dan and his family moved to Cornwall, Lebanon County in May 2016. He has become active in the Lebanon community, holding positions on the Board of Directors for the Kiwanis Club and Making a Difference of Lebanon, PA.  He is also actively involvedwith the Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce.  In 2018 he is completing the Leadership Lebanon Valley program through the :Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce.
