CISPA is excited to announce that we are now offering Youth Mental Health First Aid Training led by our Director of Learning & Innovation, Leyna Rozon. We know that mental health is just as important as physical health, and we want to make sure our youth have the support they need. The YMHFA training will cover:
- Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in youth
- Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges
- How to interact with a child or adolescent in crisis
- How to connect the youth with help
- Trauma, substance use, self-care and the impact of social media and bullying
This training is ideal for anyone who works with young people, including teachers, school administrators, coaches, counselors, and youth group leaders. It is also appropriate for parents, caregivers, and anyone who wants to learn how to provide support to young people experiencing mental health challenges.
