Lebanon Valley Chamber Seeks Nomination for General Frank Smoker Beyond the Call Award
The Lebanon Valley Chamber of
Commerce is seeking nominations for their General Frank Smoker Beyond the Call
Award. The award is presented annually by our Veteran and Military Affairs
Committee.
The General Frank Smoker Beyond the
Call Award is given out to an individual, business or non-profit that goes
above and beyond for service members, Veterans and/or their families. Membership
with the Chamber is not a requirement. Nominations can be made by any Lebanon
Valley Chamber of Commerce member, a service member from any branch of the
service, or by company employee(s) member, who has knowledge of the support.
This support must have been provided any time during the 2022-2023 calendar
years.
The award was created in honor of Major
General Frank H. Smoker, Jr. He served as Commander of the Pennsylvania Air
National Guard 1978 to 1985, retiring after 42 years of service to his state
and nation.
The deadline for nominations is
4:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
Awards winners will be honored at the
Military Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, May 1 from 7:30 am to 9:30 am at
Hebron Banquet Hall. More information about the event, and registrations
