Consolidation Official for Habitat for Humanity in Lebanon and Lancaster Counties
Lebanon, PA
08/02/2016 01:39 PM

Habitat for Humanity of Lebanon County and Lancaster Area Habitat for Humanity have officially consolidated to become Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity. The organizations announced the intention to consolidate in the spring of this year and have now formally united.

The two local Habitat organizations will now move forward as one entity, working together to help families build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity will continue to offer the same home repair and homeownership programs, as well as neighborhood revitalization services. The combined service area will allow them to better serve more families in need of safe, affordable housing.

“The consolidation provides us with more resources and the opportunity to expand our reach in these areas,” stated Stacie Reidenbaugh, Executive Director for Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity. “Joining two neighboring counties will allow us to grow and better connect with more homeowners, donors and volunteers.”

The organizations have partnered on past projects, including new construction of a single family home in Elizabethtown and the current home renovation on Lehman Street in Lebanon. “We’re coming into the home stretch with the completion of the Lehman Street renovation and looking forward to beginning new projects together as Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity,” stated Cheryl Hemperly, Public Relations Manager, formerly of Habitat for Humanity of Lebanon County. No jobs were lost in the consolidation and all employees of both Lebanon and Lancaster have transitioned to Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity. Three new jobs were created to accommodate growth. The Lancaster and Annville offices will both remain open in the short term, while the organization seeks a larger, centrally-located workspace for program and administrative staff.
