St James Player Theatre Group-I NEVER SAW ANOTHER BUTTERFLY

St James Player Theatre Group-I NEVER SAW ANOTHER BUTTERFLY
St. James Players first show will be a ONE ACT PLAY - I Never Saw Another Butterfly by Celest Raspanti.

From 1942-1945 over 15,000 children were held against their will at Terezin Ghetto. Families were torn apart as children were separated from their parents and wives from their husbands. When the trains arrived people were loaded like cattle and transported to Auschwitz where they were murdered in gas chambers. Terezin was liberated May 1945, only a little over one-hundred children survived. After the liberation thousands of pictures, poems and stories created by the children of Terezin were found hidden under the floor boards in the barracks. Selections of the children’s creations can be found in the book “I Never Saw Another Butterfly”.

Ticket price is $10 - see poster for details on ordering tickets

Building a Resilient Lebanon County

Building resilient and trauma informed communities is essential to improving public health and well-being. Communities can be places where traumatic events occur, and they can also help keep us safe. They can be a source of trauma, or buffer us against the negative effects of adversity. Communities can collectively experience trauma much like individuals do, and they can be a resource for healing. Find out more at this session.
