The New American Experience: New Americans 101

We’re excited to invite you to our Community Workshop Series on Immigration! This series is a collaboration between the Community Health Council, the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce, the IU 13, and Juntos de Lebanon.

Over the next 5 months, this series will explore important topics like:

• The special needs of refugees vs asylum seekers
• The rights of New American
• Navigating the healthcare system
• Accessing local resources
• Hiring immigrants
• Supporting immigrant students 

Why Attend?

• Gain a deeper understanding of the many different types of immigrant
• Discover strategies for helping immigrants thrive academically, emotionally, and socially in our community.
• Participate in meaningful discussions to foster understanding, empathy, and solidarity within our community.

• March 26, 9-11 am – Supporting Asylum Seekers
• April 23, 9-11 am – Navigating the Healthcare System 
• May 28, 9-11 am – Community Supports and Resources
