26th Excellence in Education Banquet Honors Students & Mentors

The Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce's 2016 Excellence in Education Banquet was scheduled for Friday, May 20, at Lebanon Valley College's Mund Center. The event recognized and honored the top five percent of graduating seniors and their mentors from high schools throughout the Lebanon Valley. Williams was the presenting sponsor for the event. Lebanon Valley College, The Hershey Company, and HACC Central Pennsylvania's Community College were the academic sponsors for the event.
The Excellence in Education Banquet annually honors almost 100 area students for outstanding performance in education and thanks an education mentor identified by each student as having made a significant impact on that student's education. This annual banquet also provides a unique vehicle for the business community of the Lebanon Valley to recognize the contributions of exceptional area educators through the Honored Educator Awards. The awards are presented to outstanding Lebanon Valley educators who were chosen as a mentor for at least five years by the students participating in the banquet.
Schools represented at the Chamber's 2016 Excellence in Education Banquet were Annville-Cleona High School, Cedar Crest High School, ELCO High School, Lebanon Catholic School, Lebanon County Career & Technology Center, Lebanon High School, New Covenant Christian School, Northern Lebanon High School and Palmyra High School.
