Economists Give Forecast for 2016

On Thursday, Jan. 21, the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2016 Economic Forecast Breakfast at the Alden Place Clubhouse located in Lebanon. The 2016 Economic Forecast was intended to give attendees a preview of what lies ahead in 2016 for the local, state, and national economies as well as for key sectors of the economy. Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. was the presenting sponsor, and Steve Goodhue of Edward Jones in Myerstown was the speaker sponsor.

 

The 2016 Economic Forecast Breakfast featured two speakers: Andrew Hill, Ph.D., an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia; and Mike Sliney, vice president and senior advisor consultant at Franklin Templeton Investments. Both Hill and Sliney gave their respective organization's, as well as their own individual, thoughts and concerns regarding the trends and perceptions of the economy in 2016.
