The Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce’s November Small Business Roundtable was held on Friday, Nov. 20, at the Chamber’s office. This month’s Small Business Roundtable open discussion centered on “Marketing 101.” Attendees discussed marketing on a small budget, and experts provided suggestions for utilizing many free or low-cost marketing solutions for small or home-based businesses.

The panel of marketing specialists included Jane Means, Kapp Advertising Services; Barb Kauffman, Kauffman Creative Services; Mike Bachleda, Bachleda Advertising; Laura Stocker and Jeff Peyton, Tin Cans Unlimited; Rob Gundermann, Premier Marketing Group; Dave Ancharski, WhiteOak; Karen Groh, IA Design; and Laura Putt, Visit Lebanon Valley.

The December Small Business Roundtable was scheduled for Friday, Dec. 18. This luncheon was a holiday celebration, and attendees were invited to bring their favorite dish or snack to contribute to the pot luck luncheon. Everyone enjoyed the treats and goodies while they discussed the challenges and idiosyncrasies of being a small business.

The Chamber’s free, monthly Small Business Roundtable sessions are designed to provide small business owners and home-based business entrepreneurs with information exchange and networking opportunities, as well as educational workshops aimed at meeting the small business and home-based business owners’ needs. While the sessions are intended for members of the Lebanon Valley Chamber, Chamber non-members may attend one roundtable meeting as a guest to learn more about the roundtable program and the Chamber.
