Mike Atchie, The
Williams Companies
Mike Atchie is the Manager of Public Outreach for The Williams Companies. Inc.’s eastern division, where he works to ensure communication and engagement between the company and the communities and municipalities in which Williams operates natural gas infrastructure. Mike is involved in efforts to inform public officials, landowners, business leaders and other stakeholders regarding the gathering and transmission of natural gas to meet domestic energy needs.
Prior to joining Williams, Mike worked as a Public Affairs Specialist for
Chesapeake Energy. Mike also served as the Director of Planning, Housing and
Community Development for the City of Binghamton, New York. Mike is a graduate
of LeMoyne College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political
Science, and later attended Binghamton University, where he earned a Master of
Public Administration degree.
Mike lives in Binghamton, New York with his wife Erin and
two children. He serves on multiple local boards and committees, including the
Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce, the City of Binghamton Commission on
Architecture and Urban Design and the Broome County Workforce Investment Board.
He actively coaches youth sports.
Kevin O’Connor, O’Connor CARES, Inc.
KEVIN O’CONNOR is the founder and principal of O’Connor CARES, Inc., an advocacy and consulting firm for organizations in the emergency response, homeland security, communications and public health space. He formerly headed Governmental Affairs and Public Policy for the International Association of Fire Fighters, where he still serves as a strategic consultant and government affairs specialists. O’Connor served as past chair of the Congressional Fire Service Institute. He began his career as a firefighter/EMT in the Baltimore County Fire Department and was the 2010 recipient of the Motorola/CFSI Mason Langford Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Fire Service.
