Business Improvement District Announces Amy Kopecky as New Manager
Lebanon, PA
01/29/2019 01:00 PM

Lebanon native Amy Kopecky has been selected as manager of the Lebanon Business Improvement District (BID).

Launched in 2017, The Lebanon BID is a five-year economic revitalization program to attract businesses and visitors to downtown Lebanon by making improvements and offering services that go beyond those provided by municipal taxes. It is funded through annual assessments paid by downtown businesses to support increased maintenance, public safety, business development and promotion, landscaping and other improvements.

John Tice, a local real estate professional and former Lebanon restaurant owner, has served as interim director since March 2018, following the resignation of Kelly Withum.

Mike Kuhn, vice president of the Lebanon Foundation board of directors, which provides fiduciary and administrative oversight of the BID, said the BID has made significant improvements to downtown Lebanon, including better lighting and cleaner streets and sidewalks, along with improved safety through installation of security cameras. “I want to thank John Tice for his service as interim director,” Kuhn added. “John is passionate about the Lebanon community and has done an excellent job. We hope he will continue to work with us in a new role as part of our transition to help sustain some of the momentum he has created through events and promotional activities.”

As BID manager, Kopecky will oversee daily operations and financial management, including seeking funding through grants, and will be responsible for creating and implementing programs to attract new businesses and the community to downtown Lebanon. She will work out of the BID office, located on the second floor of 847 Cumberland St., Lebanon.

Prior to being named BID manager, Kopecky served as client relationship manager for Heartland Wealth Advisors in Lebanon. A graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and Immaculata University, she also held sales positions with Lincoln Financial Group in Radnor and with The Hershey Company.

Kopecky is a member of the Lebanon Community Theatre Board of Directors, Lebanon’s Pink Drink Committee, Women in Business, Lebanon County Young Professionals and the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce. She has served as a driver for Meals on Wheels Lebanon County for more than 10 years.

“Amy’s strong business background, along with her demonstrated commitment to the community gave her the edge among many qualified candidates for the BID manager position,” said Dinny Kinloch, member of the Lebanon Foundation board and chairman of the BID recruitment committee. “We are looking forward to working with Amy as she leads Downtown Lebanon in continuing growth and improvement.”
