It's a great way to learn more about what these great organizations do to help our community.

This hands-on workshop will explore moving your career forward with mentoring, the benefits of mentoring, characteristics of a good mentor, where to find a mentor, importance of self-reflection, responsibilities, expectations and challenges of mentoring.

Guest facilitator for the evening will be Cheryl Batdorf, Financial Adviser for Edward Jones. 

Cheryl is passionate about helping people especially in her current role at Edward Jones assisting people with their financial needs. Prior to Edward Jones Cheryl worked in higher education as an administrator for HACC, Lebanon Valley College and Millersville University. Her career started as a controller out of college at Kapp Advertising where she met her 1st mentor. To this day Cheryl works closely with her mentor.

Cheryl has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Masters from Lebanon Valley College and a Doctorate of Business from Argosy University.

The Small Business Roundtable is open to all Chamber members whether you are a small business, large business or home-based business. Non-members may attend one event before deciding whether or not to join the Chamber. The event is free and attendees are encouraged to register but it is not required. You may bring your lunch. Domino's provides pizza. Drinks are provided by the Chamber.

Each month is a presentation and open discussion on a topic relating to running a business. This is an informal meeting.

The PA Gaming Control Board will present on the status of legalized gambling in Pennsylvania. This IS NOT a presentation about gambling, but concerns the business of the Commonwealth’s casino industry and our oversight. The presentation includes the creation and sustainability of jobs and doing business with casinos along with the revenue produced by casino gaming, where that revenue flows, and generally how the success of gaming impacts every city, town and hamlet in the state.

Listen as 97 year-old WWII pilot Bob Brocklehurst shares his experiences during his tour of flying P-40s to Alaska in the early 1940s.

Bob spent 30 years in the US Air Force. During World War II Brocklehurst flew P-40s and many other airplanes in Alaska, combating Japanese forces in the area.

His informative and lively presentation is one you won't want to miss.
