Capital City Airport (CXY),
located along Old York Road near New Cumberland, will host Capital City Airport
Community Day on Saturday, June 17th from 9am to 2pm, celebrating over 75 years
of private and general aviation flying at CXY. Admission and parking are
free.
The event is a celebration of
corporate and general aviation. Private and corporate aircraft will be on
display and visitors can speak to aircraft owners and pilots about learning to
fly and the important role general aviation plays in our community.
Helicopter rides can be purchased and attendees can register to win a free
introductory flight lesson from Cargill Aviation!
Local police, EMS, and fire
companies will be represented while refreshments will be available for purchase
benefitting a local non-profit organization.

City Airport support more than 20,000 annual operations, more than 200 jobs and
generate a $42 million annual economic impact on the region.
