2017 Day of Caring

Each year, United Way organizes Lebanon County's largest volunteer day, Day of Caring, where hundreds of local people volunteer from 9 am to noon at numerous non-profit, park and city facilities performing an array of volunteer work.  Projects available range from gardening, painting and fence repairs, to office organization, cleaning and delivering greeting cards to the elderly.  No matter how you like to give back, there's a volunteer job for everyone on Day of Caring - all ages welcome!     

All volunteers will receive a free breakfast (donated by local restuarants, grocers and distributors), and a free T-shirt for volunteering.

The American Cancer Society Bark For LifeTM is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

By supporting Bark For Life, you help the American Cancer Society save lives, and that helps us move closer to our ultimate goal of a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

So bring your best canine friend and join us for a fun-filled day starting with a walk, and then continuing with demonstrations, contests, and games.

West Shore Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Junior Leadership program is pleased to announce this year's Lead the Way 5K Run/Walk for education will take place on Sunday April 23, 2017 at Messish College. New this year is a 1 mile fun run, making this an event for the whole family.

This race is organized and operated by the students of the Junior Leadership Program class of 2017! Proceeds will benefit the West Shore Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization focused on developing leadership and communication skills with programs for local high school students as well as educational initatives for business and residents on the the West Shore.

Every year for the past three years we have invited artists, musicians and diners to enjoy some of our finest desserts and sandwiches during a spring Sunday afternoon. If you would like to dress up for the occassion vintage is the way to go. The food will consist of small sandwiches, scones and wonderful desserts that will awaken your taste buds from their winter slumbers. On the walls you will see a selection of prints and paintings of Lebanon as it used to be ranging from vintage prints and engravings to more recent watercolors by Eva Bender.
