Finance 101: Introduction to Business Finance


Sponsored by Metro Bank and presented by The Women's Business Center at Community First Fund, this is an informative training event that teaches individuals the fundamentals of the loan approval process. Topics of the seminar include:
- Basic banking practices
- The five C's of credit and how they impact your finances
- How to relate to your lender and create strong alliances with financial institutions
- The "behind the scenes" process of credit analysis and loan approval

This is the first in a series of business development workshops fostered and promoted by the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Women’s Business Center at Community First Fund, SCORE Lancaster Lebanon and the Lebanon Valley Workforce Alliance.

Price Rite Ribbon-Cutting
On Tuesday, June 23, the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce will take part in a ribbon-cutting event to commemorate the new business venture and location of Price Rite at the Lebanon Valley Mall.

In attendance at the ribbon-cutting will be representatives from Price Rite, Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce officials, and other area public officials. The ceremony is free and open to the public. Everyone is invited to come and help Price Rite celebrate and thank them for promoting business in the Lebanon Valley. The Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce regularly offers ribbon-cutting and groundbreaking ceremonies as a free service to its member businesses and organizations.

LVYP "Last Thursday" Mixer

The Wetlands Restaurant & Lounge will be the site for the June Lebanon Valley Young Professionals (LVYP) “Last Thursday” mixer. During the fun event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and network with other area young professionals from throughout the Lebanon Valley and neighboring communities. Each attendee will also have the chance to introduce themselves and their business or organization to the other young professionals in attendance.

 

There is no cost for LVYP members to attend the event, while non-LVYP members can attend for a registration fee of $10 per person. Lebanon Valley Young Professionals members are encouraged to bring along a guest who may be interested in learning more about the LVYP.

 

The LVYP is an initiative by the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce aimed at supporting and developing the leadership potential of young professionals throughout the Lebanon Valley. The program is also intended to provide these young, emerging leaders with expanded opportunities for involvement in and impact on the community. The LVYP is open to anyone, ages 21 to 40, who lives or works in the Lebanon Valley.

Lebanon Valley Chamber Night at the Reading Fightin Phils!

Take your clients, employees, friends and family out to the ballgame!

 

The Lebanon Valley Chamber Night at the Fightin Phils will be held at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading and will feature a special giveaway/promotional item of a free kids replica jersey. The Reading Fightin Phils will play against the Portland Sea Dogs. The gates at the stadium will open at 5:00 p.m., with the game starting at 7:05 p.m. The Chamber has a number of FREE tickets for members to distribute to their customers, vendors, employees and/or members of the public. Anyone interested in these free tickets should contact the Chamber office at 717-273-3727! The tickets will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

LVYP Mixer

Join the Lebanon Valley Young Professionals for their July mixer! The mixer will be held at one of Woodland Contractors' model homes to showcase the company's construction services. This will be an old-fashioned, backyard BBQ featuring food, libations and some volleyball on the grass. Attendees are encouraged to dress casual.

During the fun event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and network with other area young professionals from throughout the Lebanon Valley and neighboring communities. Each attendee will also have the chance to introduce themselves and their business or organization to the other young professionals in attendance.
