We need to talk about grief. Join WITF Wednesday, August 5
at 7pm for a virtual preview screening of the documentary Speaking Grief.
We’ll screen a portion of the film and afterwards host a live panel
discussion with local grief experts.
Speaking Grief explores the transformative experience of losing a family
member in a death – and grief – avoidant society. Moving away from the
idea that grief is a problem that needs to be “fixed,” Speaking
Grief validates the experience of grievers and guides
those wishing to support them. There is no “right” way to grieve. By sharing
diverse representations of bereavement, Speaking Grief illustrates
that grief is a universal, yet individual experience.
We hope
you’ll join us for this important conversation supported by The Pathways
Center for Grief & Loss, a program of Hospice and Community Care.
