U. S. Postal Service Delay Causes Late Insurance Invoices and Cancelled Insurance Policies
Lebanon, PA

As COVID-19 continues to affect Lebanon County families and businesses, it has recently impacted the U.S. Postal Service. Due to the delay in mail, insurance invoices have been delayed. This has led to insurance policies being cancelled due to missed or late payments. Insurance carriers are trying to extend payment due dates and are working with agencies and clients to manage the mail delay correctly.

How to Pay Your Insurance On Time to Avoid Cancellation

There are a few ways to avoid a dropped insurance policy or being late on insurance payments. First, you can go online to your insurance agency’s website and access their insurance provider page. Find your insurance provider and access their website, or web portal to make an insurance payment online.

If Your Payment Has Already Been Mailed

If you have already sent payment for your insurance through the U.S Postal Service, check to see if your payment has gone through by checking your bank statement. If your insurance provider also has an online application you can check there. We recommend you make the payment online if the mailed in check has not been received yet. This will avoid being late on your insurance payment and it will avoid dropped insurance coverage.
