On-Line Publishers, a
multi-title, niche-publishing and event-production company, is commemorating
its silver anniversary this year.
For 25 years, the central Pennsylvania-based company has effectively reached baby boomers, seniors, women in business, military personnel and job seekers with award-winning publications and events.
President
and CEO Donna Anderson began On-Line Publishers (OLP) and its flagship
publication, then called Senior News, from her Lancaster County home in 1995.
The organization now inhabits its own office building in West Hempfield
Township.
From 1995-2005, Senior News’ coverage would expand to embrace six central Pennsylvania counties. Now called 50plus LIFE, the newsprint magazine’s current coverage umbrella includes Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties.
OLP’s line of niche publications eventually grew to include BusinessWoman, a professional women’s magazine; b magazine, a full-gloss, lifestyle baby
boomer publication produced from 2008-16; 50plus Living, an annual guide
of residences and care options; beyond50, a county-specific directory of
information about local products, services and support; as well as other annual
specialty inserts.
In
1997, OLP branched out into events; the first 50plus EXPO (then called
Celebrate Seniority Expo) brought businesses and the community together for
face-to-face interaction.
OLP Events, the company’s event-production division, now produces six 50plus EXPOs, four Women’s Expos and five Veterans’ Expo & Job Fairs each year.
To continue addressing the needs of the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, this year OLP Events has added two Virtual Job Fairs, connecting hiring businesses and individuals seeking employment, as well as the Virtual Open House, which enables boomers and seniors to “tour” 50-plus living communities and residences from the safety of their homes.
The
decades have brought growth and transformation to On-Line Publishers, but its
core mission remains unchanged: to spread needed information and foster
community connectivity while uplifting the mind, heart and spirit of the people
it serves.
On-Line
Publishers was honored to receive proclamations from the Office of the Governor
and the Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania commemorating its 25 years
serving the local community.
The
company is celebrating throughout the year with special editorial features.
